How to Dress Formally Without Feeling Uncomfortable

Many find formal clothes uncomfortable but wearing them for meetings, presentation and formal occasions is a must. But it is not necessary that the formal clothes be uncomfortable.
You can begin by keeping to the style, cuts, colors, and accessories that you are comfortable with. If everything fails keep a pair of garments that you are comfortable in. You need to be mentally and physically comfortable at a formal occasion.
Choose clothes that flatter you. Clarify the event that you have been invited to. You need to wear appropriate clothes – not over dress or under dress which in both cases will make you feel uncomfortable. The word’ formal attire’ is used as a specification for a dress code - -white tie, black tie, or tuxedo for men and women wear trendy gowns with gloves and appropriate accessories. Cocktail requires men dress in dark suits and women in little black dress.

If you are confident about your clothes, the confidence will reflect in you. Cleary think about the wardrobe, colors, and accessories to complete an ensemble.

You should address the problems like short legs wear heel shoes, if you have excess weight on your tummy wear a sports jacket to create a silhouette.   If you are self conscious of a body part try and choose cuts and styles that mask them.
For good looking arms a wear a sleeveless dress, for a trim chest wear a slim fit button shirt, if you have deep brown eyes then enhance them with a color to make them stand out. This will help you feel less uncomfortable and improve your confidence.

Pay attention to details like the dress or attire you will wear get it properly fit before the occasion. So it fits your body leaving you at ease and confident. Groom yourself, be clean shaven and women wear makeup, style your hair, wear shoe that are comfortable and those that will not hurt your feet. If the shoes are new, wear a couple of times to be comfortable and do clean and polish them.

Wear smart jewelry that turns your outfit into a formal ensemble – studs, cuff links, tie-pins, and women can go for necklace, bracelet, and earrings
